★P.S. The original saying of Fortune Cat from Japan, it is a decoration which is believed in a mascot that is able to bring money to us.
Some Fortune cat raise right hand, some raise left hand. Raising right hand means bring the good luck and fortune and happiness to come this house. Raiseing left hand means the customers come in an endless stream.
If the hand raise higher than head, it means could bring the lucky from far away. If the hand raise near the cheek, it means could bring the luck near place. Anyway, it is a cat decoration could bring good luck. So, Japanese think cats are for good luck.
I think we all think cat could bring good luck.

Adan, no matter how much good luck fortune cat brings, if he gets in the way of your cat grass, that is a problem. Good thing you found a clever way around him. We enjoyed learning about the different meanings of the raised paws - thanks for the lesson!

很神奇喔~! 貓草放在招財貓後面的時候，就長得super快速耶，其他地方都要一個禮拜後才發芽，這是我新發現的好風水處XD~~

Adan, we have a cat from Japan with both arms up above her head. It looks like a female kitty and is very cute. Someone brought it back from Japan for Lynettea. Can you tell her what both arms above the head means? Is that still a good luck kitty? We hope so because we can always do with some spare luck.

thank you for telling me about fortune cat! i have seen many of these in London...i have also sen Buddhas with big bellies, if you rub the belly veryday you get rish, i think this is a chinese belief though, not japanese. i may be wrong. xxx
I have my own fortune cat, it´s so lovely and cute!
Here in Buenos Aires there´s a lot of japanese shops, and in one of those, I heard the legend of the "Maneki-Neko". And I said "I want one of those!"
Itsn´t weird that cats are considered good luck... I think they are mistic, they have a little bit of magic and divine... :-)
